A central venous catheter (CVC) is an indwelling device that is peripherally inserted into a large, central vein (most commonly the internal jugular, subclavian, or femoral), and advanced until the terminal lumen resides within the inferior vena cava, superior vena cava, or right atrium. These devices and the techniques employed to place them are synonymous with the terms "central line" or "central venous access." The placement of a CVC was first described in 1929.Over the following decades, central venous access rapidly developed into an important experimental instrument for studying cardiac physiology, as well as an indispensable clinical tool in the treatment of many disease processes.Various access techniques and devices were developed for a multitude of indications, including total parenteral nutrition administration, dialysis, plasmapheresis, medication administration, hemodynamic monitoring, and to facilitate further complex interventions such as transvenous pacemaker placement.
1.Made of medical grade PU material which is specifically used for human body indwelling. It is with excellent biocompatibility and chemical stability, as well as superior elasticity. The material will soften itself automatically to protect the vascular tissue under body temperature.
2.The design of Delta wing shape will reduce the friction when it is fxed onto patient's body. It makes patient feel much more comfortable. It is safer and more reliable.
3.The distal tip of catheter connects a special soft tip by fusion process. It will avoid the vascular damage when inserting or indwelling the catheter.
4.The design of multi-lumen ensures that the clinician could inject several kinds of pharmaceuticals at the same time. It will avoid drug incompatibility efficaciously.
5. The whole tubing could be observed under X-ray, which will ensure the patients' safety when indweling.
