Stomach tube can be inserted into the stomach from the nasal cavity or oral cavity for feeding to affuse liquid into stomach or aspirate liquid and gas out of stomach.

Features:

1. Made of medical grade TPU, the tube is soft and clear, with high corrosion resistance.

Method of use

1. Let the patient in the semi-supine position and blow from the nasal cavity, the operator clean and disinfect hands, prepare the required items (nasogastric tube, syringe, sterile normal saline or sterilized water, etc.);

2. Measure the length of the tube to be inserted: the distance from the patient's earlobe to the tip of the nose, the tip of the nose to the nadir of the sternum, and mark the tube;

3. Put the head of the nasogastric tube into sterile normal saline or sterilized water, and bend the guide wire handle and push it into the nasogastric tube joint;

4. Inject 25-50ml sterile saline or sterilized water through the handle of the guide wire to lubricate the inner wall of the guide wire and catheter;

5. Let the patient's head tilt back to insert the nasogastric tube into the nasal cavity, and then let the patient's head bend forward to insert the catheter into the esophagus, so that the patient feels the catheter reaches the pharynx for swallowing action, while taking the potential to push the catheter into the stomach, when the catheter mark is pushed to the nose, stop pushing in;

6. By aspirating the contents of the stomach, using PH test paper to confirm the placement of the catheter, the PH value of gastric juice should be less than 7, and record at the same time; If the PH value is higher than 7, the catheter insertion position should be confirmed by X-ray examination.

7. When the catheter tip is placed in the stomach, 25-50ml sterile saline or sterilized water is injected through the handle of the guide wire to avoid acidification of nutrient solution in the catheter and cause blockage; Pull out the guide wire immediately after rinsing the catheter;

8. Use tape to fix the nasogastric tube in the patient's nose to avoid squeezing the tube on the nasal wall;

9. Infusion can be done after connecting the infusion tube and nutrient solution.
